Daylilies

Orange daylilies in a turquoise vase flare up against a night-dark background, beside a big yellow lemon with its leaves.

A very simple still life at first sight — a turquoise vase, a bouquet of orange daylilies with and a big yellow lemon with leaves. This work is part of my series «Night still lifes». Night is the time, when no one bothers you, when there is no longer a border between the painter and the object. You two and the intensity of silence.
