Still Life With Eggplant

Pale turquoise laurel leaves reach out of a tall white vase into the dark blue night, and on the light blue table below, two violet eggplants lie beside a bright yellow lemon.

Sometimes you work better at night than during the day, nothing bothers you. This picture with laurel leaves and lemon and eggplants is one of the series «Night Still Life», which render the special relationship between the painter and the object. The night is the time when there is no longer a boundary between the painter and the object. No distractions, no sound chi enerva. Only you two linked by special, closer relationships. You two and the intensity of the silence.
