Blue Floral Still Life

Pale blue laurel leaves lean out of a brown vase into an almost black night, and two yellow lemons lie on the dusty pink table below, all painted on a small wooden cutting board with a handle.

Night is the time when there is no longer a border between the painter and the object. No distraction, no sound that unnerves you. Just you two. This small still life on a cutting board is one of the series of nocturnal paintings. On the dark, almost black background, a laurel branch with its almost blue leaves and two lemons on the table. And again the silence.

DECORATIVE BOARDS (author's warning):

My works from the 'Boards' series are small oil paintings on wood, mostly still life. The boards are varnished, however these are paintings, they are not intended for cutting food in the kitchen. Place them on the wall, not on the table. Best of all, given their size, on the wall of a small room. On the same kitchen wall, for example.
