Orange Daylilies

Orange and pink daylilies open over slim buds on turquoise stems, against an almost black ground with a band of deep blue down the left edge and the wood grain showing through the paint.

A bouquet of orange daylilies with its oil painted buds on a small wooden cutting board. It is part of the series «Flowers on wood», where a flower or a small bouquet of flowers is a protoganist of the picture. The minimalist style because there are few details on the dark, nocturnal background.

DECORATIVE BOARDS (author's warning):

My works from the "Boards" series are small oil paintings on wood, mostly still life. The boards are varnished, however these are paintings, they are not intended for cutting food in the kitchen. Place them on the wall, not on the table. Best of all, given their size, on the wall of a small room. On the same kitchen wall, for example.
