Blue Trees

Blue and turquoise trees surround a warm terracotta house beneath a sky swept with pale blue, violet and deep navy. Yellow passages brighten the landscape, creating a lively contrast between the cool foliage and the sunlit ground. Loose, visible brushstrokes give “Blue Trees” its expressive character. Buildings and trees remain recognisable, while their simplified shapes and unexpected colours move the scene towards abstraction. The square composition draws the eye through the garden towards the house and the changing sky.

An original, one-of-a-kind oil painting by Katia Demyanova, a bright Italian landscape. A colourful focal point above a console, in a living room or in a quiet reading corner.
