Hillside

A small white peasant house with a red roof stands high on a green Abruzzo slope, and a narrow brown path runs down past dark trees to a turquoise valley and a band of ochre earth.

I live in the hills of Abruzzo, near the Apennine mountains. And these slopes of the mountains, their peaks, the valleys with vineyards and olive trees I am drawing almost every day. The typical Abruzzo landscape is on this small wood — the slope of the hill, a small path, a small white peasant house with a red roof.

My works from the "Boards" series are small oil paintings on wood, mostly still life. The boards are varnished, however these are paintings, they are not intended for cutting food in the kitchen. Place them on the wall, not on the table. Best of all, given their size, on the wall of a small room. On the same kitchen wall, for example.
