Olive Trees Under the Snow

Original painting, one of a kind
Snow has settled over a hillside of olive trees in Italy: brown trunks and sage-green crowns stand in drifts of white, pale blue and pink, two small houses with terracotta roofs sit midway up the slope, and a blue ridge rises under a cold, pale sky.
Snow makes the usual landscape mysterious and unfamiliar. The olives froze under the snow, it transforms everything.
